There are days when storms appear in our lives. We appreciate it when those who care about us help us in our time of need, whether it's by giving donations or lending a helping hand. Today all I am asking for is your voice and to pray with me for the victims of Hurricane Harvey in South Texas and Louisiana. Let's Pray. Dear God, please cover and protect the people of Hurricane Harvey. Show them that even through the storm that you are there watching over them with loving kindness and peace. God we believe and trust in your name we pray, AMEN! Hebrews 13:16 "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased." The encouraging word of the day is Nehemiah 8:10. Read below!
Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” In the first nine verses of Nehemiah 8, they explain who Nehemiah was and explains the yet another journey the Israelites have taken. The Israelites were held in bondage for so long that they forgot the laws. Nehemiah and Ezra were leading the Israelites at the time and decided to reteach them the commandments. Ezra read the 10 Commandments for the Israelites and they felt condemned for they thought they had did something terribly wrong. This scripture is an encouragement that when you have lost God and he speaks to you, we should rejoice in the Lord and be glad for God wants you to celebrate for connecting back to His Words and for holding them close and dear to your heart. This is Sydney saying goodbye and see you next time! |
