GOD IS AWESOME!
Hey everybody it's Sydney here, I would like to welcome you all to the 3rd day of the STUDY OF DANIEL series!!! Today I would like for you to read Daniel chapter 4 and Proverbs 11:2 and also Proverbs 16:18. Now let's get started!!!!!!
Daniel chapter four explains King Nebuchadnezzar's dream about his kingdom and the life changing event that would happen to him. One day Daniel went to the King and explained the King's dream word for word. There was a tree that grew very tall and strong, reaching to the heavens for all the world to see. The tree had green leaves and many fruit, even wild animals lived in the shade of the tree. The tree represents King Nebuchadnezzar, because he had grown great and very strong. Also in the dream a holy messenger came down from heaven, he said to cut down the tree but to leave the stump and the roots in the ground and it would be surrounded by grass and would live with the animals for seven years. For seven years King Nebuchadnezzar was seperated from society to live and eat with the animals, then he will recieve his kingdom back. Only if he stops sinning and chooses to do what is right. As time passed by King Nebuchadnezzar praised qnd worshipped the most high God. Just as his dream said, he recieved his kingdom back and glorified and honored the King of Heaven. Now, do you guys remember when I told you all to read the scriptures in Proverbs, well now I will tell you how they relate to this story. In Proverbs 11:2 it says, "Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom." Before King Nebuchadnezzar was on his own with the animals, he had much pride in his heart which caused his kingdom to be taken away from him. Not until he realized that God was the one and only true God, he became humble. Proverbs 16:8 says, "Better to have little, with godliness, than to be rich anr dishonest." This shows that King Nebuchadnezzar was better off by himself praising God, then having an enormous kingdom and having a sinful life. This teaches people of our time that when we're with GOD everything is better!!!!!!!!!! This is Sydney saying goodbye and see you next time for the next chapter in The Study Of Daniel series!!! P.S.-Listen to the song Better by Abandon!!! It's AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Hey everybody it's Sydney here, I would like to welcome you all to the 2nd day of THE STUDY OF DANIEL!!!!! Today we will be going over the 3rd chapter of Daniel. Please grab a bible and turn to Daniel chapter 3 and read it then come back to this blog and we will study this particular chapter.
Before we start studying chapter 3 of Daniel there are four words I would like to tell you about that I think coincide with the story very well. Conviction, Commitment, Compromise, and Consequence. Conviction is a firmly held belief or opinion. Commitment, the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause. Compromise, accepting standards that are lower than is desirable. Consequence, a result or effect of an action or condition. Each of these words have a close relationship with the story about the fiery furnace, located in Daniel chapter 3. In this story King Nebuchadnezzar created a gold statue for all the people to worship that was ninety feet tall and nine feet wide. The King made a decree that everyone must bow down and worship the statue as soon as the musicians played their musical instruments. If someone refused to bow down they would be thrown into a fiery furnace. The people followed the King's instructions, except for four Hebrew men named Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Also known as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. King Nebuchadnezzar was so furious that he commanded his servants to heat the furnace seven times hotter than normal. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into the fiery furnace. As King Nebuchadnezzar looked into the furnace he saw four men instead of just the three men they threw in. The 4th man looked godly to King Nebuchadnezzar. He was so shocked that he called out to the men to come out of the furnace. Out came Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, with no burns, fully clothed, and the smell of smoke was neither on their skin or clothes. King Nebuchadnezzar praised the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Later King Nebuchadnezzar declared that if anyone spoke a word against God they would be torn apart limb by limb. (Harsh Right?!!!!!) The King then promoted the three men into very high positions in his Babylonian Kingdom. Now that I've explained Daniel chapter 3 to you, let's talk about those four C words I gave to you in the begining. The word Conviction is for the three men's belief in God and only God. Commitment is for the men's dedication to God. The word Compromise is for how Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to settle and bow down to the statue. They chose not to compromise their belief in God. The word Consequence shows that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were willing to face Nebuchadnezzar's consequences no matter the punishment. Because they understood that it was more important to follow God than bow down to a statue made by man. What if they had chosen to bow down to the statue? Then what would there consequence have been? Would you rather face the consequences of man or God? Stand for your CONVICTIONS, remain COMMITED, never COMPROMISE, and choose wisely because your life depends on the CONSEQUENCES you face. Just remember when you dedicate your whole life to God you will be blessed!!!!! This is Sydney saying goodbye and see you next time for the next chapter of The Study Of Daniel series!!!!!! |
